It's a pity that the password is stored in plain text and is visible in options, not even masked. Really good idea but that little things makes me not use it.

Doesn't google desktop provide internal account access?

It's a problem in the API of Google Desktop about Edit Password..It didn't seem to work.

However next release of GNotebooks should resolve this bug.

Thanks for your comment.

I get "login failed" even if I just put my login name not the full gmail address. What gives?

Hi Matt,
your problem is interesting for us.
We want to understand why this sometimes happens, but we cannot replicate the login failed...
We have tested the program over 5 different machines with different types of connections but we never get that message.

If you post another comment with your email address we can try to solve your problem.
Obviously we don't publish your comment with your email, it will remain private between us.

I get the logon complete message, but for some reason, I can't see any of the stuff in my notebook; GNotebook is just empty in my GD.
Also, Is there anyway to edit notes and make new notes in the GNotebook?

Hi,

I am having problems accessing my Google notebooks with this extension. I have put my (single) account details in, clicked the enabled box, and the status bar shows it is logging in, and then says "Logon complete". But none of my notebooks or any details appears, just a blank white area.

This is either when it is in the sidebar, or expanded out to the side. Any ideas? It looks like a great extension!

I have found that this "gadget" does not work at all. As others have said, the login fails, the password is shown in plain text. The biggest problem, though, is that the gadget doesn't actually work at all. A listing of motes from my Google notebooks doesn't appear in the gadget at all.

even i have the same problem. It tells me login failed. Sometimes it stops on "logging on, please wait" and nothing happens. My email address has a dot in the middle, maybe it effects it somehow?

I can't seem to get this working. It says Logon complete and then nothing appears. I have 2 notebooks in Google Notebook. Thought I'd click refresh and see if it'll appear but instead that gets stuck in Loading ...
